I decided to stand down from Sevenoaks District Council in May 2019 as both Deputy Leader and a Councillor. As Deputy Leader I help Sevenoaks win the Guardian Public Service Awards 2016 overall winner, and Local Government Chronicle Council of the Year in 201,7 plus a whole host of public health awards. For my personal contribution I won the LGiU Councillor of the Year award for Health and Care - so it was with much sadness that I campaigned in 2019 for my successors.
Thanks to all our hard work and strong reputation as being fiscally responsible and caring - the Sevenoaks Conservatives managed to hold back the political tide in May 2019.
